We believe in absolute data minimization. We only request the minimum permissions required to perform the core app features:

• Camera Permission: Used strictly for scanning product barcodes. The camera feed is processed in real-time on your device to read barcodes and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded to any external servers.
• Device Information: We may collect non-personal technical data (such as OS version, device model, and performance metrics) solely to diagnose crashes and optimize performance.

Local Storage (On-Device Database)

Any items you scan, save to your history, or add to your shopping list are stored securely in a local database (Room Database) inside your own phone. This data remains completely offline and is never accessible by us or any third parties. You can delete this data anytime by clearing the app data in your phone's settings.

Third-Party Services & APIs

To analyze barcodes and ingredients, the App communicates with public product databases via secure, encrypted (HTTPS) APIs.

• No personal identifier or user identity is sent with these database queries.
• All queries are completely anonymous.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our records.
